We are looking for an intern to help the Haus 820 team in the spring of 2019. We’re searching for dynamic, motivated individuals eager to get hands-on experience in the creative event industry. Whether your interest is in event management, or just dabbling in a mix of creative jobs, our semester-long internship program is designed to give you a wealth of knowledge and opportunities. We promise informative, hands-on projects and a detailed curriculum. Possible opportunity to extend internship and/or employment within the company. Please note that you must be available to work out of our downtown Lakeland office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- cheerful & upbeat
- organized & detail-oriented
- passionate about event industry
- weekend availability is a must (weekend hours are paid)
- social media savvy
- fluent in Microsoft Office
- familiar with WordPress
- decisive & a problem solver
- innovative & resourceful
- available to work 8 hours/week in office as well as event days (mainly Saturdays)
- has access to a Mac laptop
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer phones
- Keep track of community events
- Hand out flyers/corporate flyers
- Be present in the office when brides rent out our bridal suite
- Help get the property is ready for all events
- Vendor meetings
- Maintenance running list
